Select a Writing Program...
Get started by writing your work or manuscript and saving it in one
of the following formats:
.rtf (preferred)
Rich Text Format - Most all of the word processors (Microsoft Word,
Word Perfect, etc.) will allow documents to be saved in this format.
.txt Text Only - Again most all of the word processors
will allow documents to be saved in this format.
If you are not familiar with this process follow these instructions:
1. Open your manuscript (finished work) in your word processor.
2. Once you are looking at it - go to the file menu on the top left corner -
left click once to open the menu.
3. About five items down you will see Save As... - left click once to continue.
4. The Save As... window opens and you are almost there. Chose a familiar
spot to save the document to.
Next to the words Save in: you will find a white area (known as a field).
This field must contain the location
where you would like to save this document
to. Such as My Documents. For further instructions see HELP in
your word processor.
5. At the very bottom of the Save As... window you will find a similar field
after the words Save as type: to the
far right of this field you will find a small button with an arrow pointing
down. Left click once on this button.
6. You should now be looking at a list. This list will contain several
choices. Select either Rich Text Format (*.rft)
or Text Only (*.txt).
7. Just above this field you will find a field for the name of your document.
You do not have to worry about ending
the name with .rft or .txt because the word processor will do that automatically
for you.
You are finished with this part.
Cover Page... make sure that your document is saved
with a cover page. The very first page should be the cover page
and should have the following information:
1. The title of the work.
2. The full name of the author.
3. Mailing address in full.
4. Contact phone number.
5. E-mail address (very important for communication between us and the author/you)
6. The words Copyrighted (and then the current year)
this is the author/you declairing that this is your unique work and when it
was shown to the public.
Submit...
You will need to email your finished manuscript to us (make sure that there
is a cover page - it should be the very first page of the document). Send
an email to publish@ancientvampires.com
with your manuscript as an attachment.
...And Publish
We will then send you an eBook (with Password) of your work. Proof read
your book...make any changes to your original work in your word processor.
Save again in the above format and resubmit to us. We will return
send you an eBook of your work. When you are confident that the book is
in the form that you want - email us a final copy with the subject line
reading Finished. In your email please indicate if your want
the eBook for sale or for Free and you're done.
If you want it for sale then we will respond by sending you a simple contact stating the aggreement. You must sign the aggreement and fax it back to us. FAX number (413) 460-0394.
We do not proof read your work for errors. Also we do not edit your work. We will however screen your work for content. Unacceptable content will not receive any further consideration and you will be notified. Please read our policy on content.
